Diploma Years Programme
BINUS SCHOOL Simprug established its Diploma Programme (DP) in 2007, with an initial average score which was above the world average. BINUS SCHOOL Simprug has consistently produced student scores above the world average for 10 years, achieving perfect DP Scores of 45 out of 45 for 3 years in a row.
The IB DP is an academically challenging and balanced programme of education with final examinations that prepares students, aged 16 to 19, for success at university and life beyond. It has been designed to address the intellectual, social, emotional and physical well-being of students. The programme, has gained recognition and respect from the world’s leading universities.
The two-year international curriculum aims to provide students with values and opportunities that will enable them to develop sound judgment make wise choice, and respect others in the global community.
All DP students take six subjects, one from each of the following groups.
Group 1: Studies in Language and Literature (English A, Indonesian A and Korean A)
Group 2: Languages Acquisition (English B, Indonesian B and Mandarin B)
Group 3: Individuals and Society (Business and Management, Economics, History, Information Technology in a Global Society and Psychology)
Group 4: Experimental Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Computer Science)
Group 5: Mathematics (Mathematics HL, Mathematics SL, Mathematical Studies)
Group 6: Arts or Electives (Visual Arts, Music, Literature and Performance, or another subject from Group 3 or 4)
